Philip Svesnik has worked in various capacities over the years in the area of information systems and data processing, both as a technician and in various management positions. He served as Chief Information Officer for 27 years with Westmoreland County where he also served as Director of Judicial Information Systems.
Mr. Svesnik has widespread experience in programming various computer environments and establishing strategic technology plans for organizations. He has implemented CASE technology for application development, mainframes, mid-range systems, PC clients, virtualization of clients and servers, COLD storage, G.I.S., LANs, WANs, wireless networks, internet servers and disaster recovery plans. He has planned and implemented data center conversions and completed several reorganizations of information systems departments to provide for more efficient rendering of information technology services.
Mr. Svesnik has taught computer-related classes for over 25 years at the University of Pittsburgh and Westmoreland County Community College.
